ABOUT ME
I´m Robin, I´m 33, and by day I'm an English language teacher. People always ask me why I read anthropology at university ...well I guess because I find people and culture very interesting.
I think I´m a pretty personable person, I get on with most people and only argue for the sake of being right - not because i am angry. I´ve got quite a lot of different friends for different reasons and if i was stuck in an elevator with the worst person in the world, the chances are, I would try to get along with them.
LOVE: food, icy cold beer, travelling, meeting people, reading, mountainbiking, films, playing tennis.
HATE: Big brother, microwaves, 0% alcohol beer, most chart music
PHILOSOPHY
Be adventurous! try everything once (except suicide and a few other things).
Work less, play more
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I happily host couch surfers, its a great way to meet people from diverse backgrounds who you otherwise might never speak to. When I'm free, I'll cook dinner, tell you about the local people and sights, maybe show you a few places. But really, people can come and go as they please, no pressure to socialise.
Sometimes I've not hosted but just met up with couch surfers for a drink.
I've never surfed anyone else's couch up until now, but I've been living in Vietnam for 5 months now and taking advantage of the great holidays I get with my job, so it would be excellent if there were some welcoming hosts out there come.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted about 7 different couch surfers, for between 2 and 7 days each time.
