About Me

CURRENT MISSION

drawings based on the rectangle

ABOUT ME

I am an illustrator of very small drawnings and student of the noble cultural anthropology. further a formidable cook of vegetarian cuisine, a friend of radio features and listening plays, cyclist and, in general, a friendly person (if you believe what they say).

I am interested in people. that's why I participate in this project.

PHILOSOPHY

i like to work. working means not only working for money. it means: getting something done, trying something, making something up, getting involved into something. i like output, i am a chaotic perfectionist, i like projekts.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

surfing and hosting (unfortunately I am quite busy sometimes)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

not too much so far but what i experienced was mostly nice and sometimes tiring.

Interests

i like what i study (cultural anthropology) because in this way i get to know people and learn how they live their lives; i like to know how people think, how they explain the world to themselves and why they do so.
i am hungry and curious about that all. I like it when people take me into their world.

Music, Movies, and Books

i can recomment you some great austrian directors and movies. you shoud know: austrian movies are well known for scenarios of infinite depression mixed with black humor.

you should see: ulrich seidl ("hundstage", "import export"...) michael glawogger ("workingman's death", "megacities", "slumming"), barbara eder ("inside america") and of course michael haneke ("the white ribbon", "caché"...).

music: i like experiments. electronic, oh, and swing and brass. hm, and folk and indie i guess. and also new music and some aspects of jazz. and: radio dramas!

i read scientific literature because it helps me understanding something about this all. and sometimes actual literature (i like f.ex. tom robbins, gabriel garcia marques or daniel kehlman). and i have a strong preference for grafic novels ("gorazde" by joe sacco, "pinocchio" by winshluss, "a taste of chlorine" by bastien vivès are real masterpieces, to name a few).
