About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finishing my masters degree.

ABOUT ME

Apart from living in Norway I didn't travel much when I was younger. When I turned 25 I went on my first overseas trip and I've been hooked ever since. I used to work in telecommunications as an account manager in Norway, until a few years ago when I decided that my job is not what I want to do for the rest of my life. I moved back to Sweden, went travelling for a year and went back to school.

Meeting people from other cultures is great. I believe it makes me more open as a person and understanding cultural differences, which is something I think is getting very important in todays society. It is also a great way to learn new languages. One of my goals right now is to learn spanish.

Music is very important to me. It can help me exercise, sleep, study or just make me feel good. I mostly listen to indie pop/rock or classical music if I'm studying. Favourite artists are Bon Iver, Kings Of Leon, Tallest Man On Earth, SIA, Tame Impala, Flume, Vampire Weekend, Alt-J, Of Monsters And Men, Two Door Cinema Club, The Lumineers, Django Django, Passion Pit, Lykke Li, Kent.

I would say that travelling is my favourite hobby, I would do it more if I just had more time and money. I also enjoy exercising and I like trying new things, most recently bouldering. Next thing I would like to try is dancing. I don't know what dance yet but I tried hip hop once and really enjoyed it.

I've been told that I am a happy, easygoing person and I like doing things spontaneous. I try never to take myself too seriously and love to have a laugh. I want to live a stressless life where I take everyday as it comes and I think that also reflects in my style of travel.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to take everyday as it comes and not worry too much about things that doesn't matter in the long run.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking parts of the Tour the Mont Blanc. The views there are absolutely breathtaking.

I walked the camino with the same people for 33 days, We went through a lot and it is a very good memory for me.

Taking a ferry into one of the fjords outside of Aalesund in Norway.

Hiking up a mountain in Svaneti, Georgia and and enjoying the view of glaciers.

Sailing on a yacht around Phi Phi Island. Fully equipped with bedrooms, kitchen, swing and a sea jacuzzi.

Teach, Learn, Share

Do you like music? Get Spotify (if it is available in your country!) I discover more music that I love in one week than I did in a year before I had it.

Watch movies in different languages. Movies from France, Italy and South America are very good.

If you want to find cheap flights, try skyscanner.

Staying at a hostel on the Camino de Santiago never cost more than 10 euros per night.
