ABOUT ME

Beginning in August 2014 I will be moving to Nicaragua for the Peace Corps to begin a new episode of my traveling adventures. I am excited to meet new people, both travelers and Nicaraguans and create lasting friendships and connections. It is my hope that couchsurfing will help me to connect with people while I'm abroad!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had an amazing Couchsurfing experience during my travels. People are so generous and welcoming: inviting me into their homes to share their food, culture and beautiful cities. I have met so many amazing people through Couchsurfing and I am so grateful to everyone who has hosted me or just met up to show me around their city! For me Couchsurfing is more than just a free place to stay. It is about meeting people and experiencing new places through the eyes of people who live there. For me it is about sharing and learning from the people you meet and who host me. Every couchsurfing encounter is unique and special: a snapshot into the lifestyle and personality of someone new and a potential lasting friendship.

Interests

I love traveling, exploring, the outdoors, arts and culture. I studied Spanish and International Studies so I'm very interested in Latin American studies, anything related to global relations and politics and immigration issues. I love walking around new cities, trying new foods and visiting historic sites.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook and learn new recipes and try new foods as I travel. Sharing food, recipes and conversations over a meal are my favorite ways to get to know a new culture and new people. I love cooking for other people!
