About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To not to forget about the rest of the world by seeing it.

ABOUT ME

I like making things and learning new skills. I love spontaneous adventures. I enjoy reading and listening to people's stories morning, noon, and night and walking through cities for hours. The Pacific Northwest is my home.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't forget about the whole entire universe. It's hard not to sometimes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I Couchsurfed in several countries and I think it's the best way to travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So good. There are some amazing people out there!

Interests

Sleeping out of doors, riding on bikes all over the place, breakfast time, old-timey records, learning to bake like an old wife, petting pets, muggy tropical weather, moving to new places, walking, nighttime fun, outer space, nice people, the unexpected on live television, the ocean, random article generator on Wikipedia, the youtubes, trying new things, big curly hair

Music, Movies, and Books

I tend towards certain themes for books and films. Ones containing elements of large families, winter, language barriers, sea voyages, humid East Coast summers, adventures in the Deep South, endless traverses through populous cities, lengthy explanations of mundane ideas/objects, run-aways, drug exploits, gender-norm upheaval...

I like music with good lyrics, syncopation, danceable beats, rhythms with lots o drums, warm analog synthy sounds, and the sad old fuzzed-out storytelling kind. I am easily thrown-off by overly-polished and contrived-seeming vocals.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in a tent in Big Sur for a few months and it was the greatest. I broke bread with Brian Eno and at the end of dinner he gave me a 100,000,000,000 bank note from Zimbabwe, which also was the greatest.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to change a bike tire, surf in the ocean, make a website, bake a rustic tart, and crochet anything you can imagine.

I want to learn about riding my bike across the US. Also about anything in history, I missed out on too much.

Countries I’ve Visited

Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Panama, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
