I've grown up in London with an Irish father and Kiwi mother, and have made good on my Kiwi passport to come to live in Melbourne. I moved here in Sept 2017 and I am a French and Spanish teacher.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have couchsurfed in a few places in Colombia, Brazil and Uruguay in the past, and now that I have moved into a place here in Melbourne I feel it is time to start doing others the same favour. I'm also a people person and I like to have people around me as it reminds me of the importance of looking out for others, and to remember that life is not all about me!

Hice couchsurfing en algunos sitios en Colombia y Brasil e Uruguay. Ya que tengo un hogar aquí in Melbourne, creo que es ya es el momento para hacerme anfitrión. Me gusta mucho conocer a nueva gente y me gusta tener buena gente alrededor de mi. Couchsurfing me ayuda recordarme que es importante ayudar a los otros, que no ser egoísta y pensar en las necesidades de los otros.

I studied Spanish at university and so I love any opportunity to practise - this is why I have a multilingual profile! I'm still learning about myself to discover what my passions are, but I enjoy everyone's standard interests of music, film and TV. I also enjoy going to bars/pubs for beer/wine/cocktail/all of the above, although I try not to drink at home too much anymore because I'm trying to make better life decisions. Although my flatmates do not always help me with this!

I've also got a bit into doing some more vegan cooking after a trip to stay with my NZ cousins who are all vegan. Would really like to learn some more recipes. Which is a roundabout way of saying please cook for me? Or let's cook together as I really appreciate a good meal.

Estudié español a la universidad y en Colombia, así me gusta cualquiera oportunidad para practicarlo, y es por eso que este perfil está en las dos lenguas! Todavía aprendo sobre mi mismo para entender lo que son mis intereses, pero sé que me gusta la música y la meditación. Me gusta salir y tomar algo - hay bares cerca si te apetece, sin embargo evito beber en casa porque es dificil dejar! jaja. Me gusta cocinar - tengo primas en Nueva Zelanda que son veganas, así me gustar aprender nuevos recipes veganos. A veces tengo sueño cuando vuelva de trabajo, así si quieres cocinar algo para mí, lo agradeceré mucho!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to live in Colombia at the tender age of 23 was in retrospect a pretty bold decision. Also, moving to Australia completely on my own with no job!

Fui a vivir en Colombia cuando tenía apenas 23 años, y mirando atrás creo que era algo bastante atrevido! Además, mi decisión mudarme a Melbourne sin trabajo era un poco loco. jaja.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could obviously teach a beginner some French or Spanish if they wanted to learn, as it's my job! However given it's what I do all day I'd probably rather learn something from you! Or just sit and chat and share some experiences, and hear what life has taught you. Or can we just go to the pub?

Podría enseñar español porque es mi trabajo, (pero si lees esta parte imagino que hablas bien español!) También puedo ayudarte con tu inglés. Prefería aprender algo de ti, o solo hablar y conocernos. Estoy muy relajado.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to think I can be a good listener if you just wanna let loose about what is bothering you. Or you can just let me talk as I bloody love the attention. Can also share Banter with a capital B, unless I've had a long day, in which case cook me dinner please? Jokes. (not jokes.)

Puedo escuchar a tus problemas si los tienes y te molestan, o puedes escucharme porque me gusta mucho ser al centro de atención jaja! Puedo compartir buena conversación y puedes cocinar algo para mi después de un largo día de trabajar. (es broma pero no es broma. jaja.) No sé si mi sentido del humor traduce bien en español! Espero que si!
