CURRENT MISSION

Simply put: Explore Europe! I'm currently studying in Bradford England for the semester and I want to make the most of my time on this side of the Atlantic Ocean! I just really want to experience as much as I can!!

ABOUT ME

I feel like there is just to much to write so I'll try to keep it short and sweet! I'm a friendly person who likes to try new things and experience as much as I can. I feel like life is short and I really want to make the most of it! At this point in my life I had a great opportunity to do some travelling to a different continent so I did it! I've seen a lot of England and I'm working on seeing Europe as well! I just want to take it all in: the sites, the foods, and the experiences!
Just a few general things about me: I'm generally a pretty happy person and I like to think I'm a pretty nice guy for the most part. I'm a Christian and God holds a very high place in my life. I believe he wants us to go see his beautiful world and I love marveling at all of his creations!

PHILOSOPHY

Well I think that life is generally pretty good as long as you make it good; I think everyone has tough times and bad things are bound to happen but I also believe there is always a silver lining! Abraham Lincoln once said, "Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be." I love this quote and full believe it! I believe we are all in this world for a purpose and that we should all try to make it a better place! I try to do this by helping people, being polite, being nice, and being positive! I always hope that I can brighten someones day! I live my life for God, for others, and for myself, and honestly if I am living a good life and helping others it generally makes me pretty happy as well! Most of all I guess I just hope to do as much as I can in this short life and live it to the fullest! :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well I'm new to this site so I haven't really participated at all so far! I was hoping I could find some nice people to couchsurf with while on my trip around Europe. Personally I would be more than willing to help out others as well. Currently I'm at University in Bradford England, soon I'll be going back to the States and I live in both La Crosse, WI and Berlin, WI and once again I'd be happy to host anyone! La Crosse especially is a beautiful place full of great hiking and canoeing opportunities!

Not really any so far! My friend just recently told me about the site and it really sounds like my kind of thing!

Interests

I have so many interests! I think right now my biggest interest is just doing new things and learning about and experiencing the world! Other than that I love sports! I am a huge classic rock fan! I enjoy history and politics and hope to become a social studies teacher someday. I really love food, both cooking and eating it! I love hiking, picnics, nature, going to the beach, etc. There are so many great things in this world and I'm hoping to find some new interests as well!!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is one of my favorite things in the world! I especially love Classic Rock and really pretty much anything from Elvis to Nirvana! Led Zeppelin is by far my favorite band, a few other favorites include The Beatles, AC/DC, Metallica, Whitesnake, Motley Crue, Queen, The Who, and the Rolling Stones!
I also love movies, however, I will admit I don't watch a ton of them, I just can't find the time! I mostly love action/adventure movies and comedies! My favorites are Forrest Gump, Saving Private Ryan, the Avengers, The Dark Knight, and Step Brothers!
I also love reading, but again I don't usually find the time! Lately I've really only read a few of the books in the Da Vinci Code series, but I do love those books, they're amazing!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's hard to choose, I see amazing things everyday! But I think one of the most amazing things I've ever seen was KISS live in concert! This may sound a little silly but it was probably the best night of my life! They were such an amazing band and their show left me speechless (and deaf for the next day!) lol

Teach, Learn, Share

I think this is such a cool concept! As far as skills go I have a pretty decent knowledge of graphic design and Photoshop, I know a decent amount about sports, and I have a decent knowledge of history and politics! I also really enjoy cooking and I use some fairly unconventional methods. I hate using recipes so I usually just make up my own stuff and I pride myself in being able to make a meal out of just about any ingredients and with just about any combination of cookware!
Another thing I've learned about England at least is that people here are generally really interested in hearing about America. I am more than happy to talk about America, our lifestyle and such and I also have decent knowledge of our history and political system and would love to talk about that stuff with anyone!
Finally I also write song lyrics and poetry, honestly I'm not sure how good I am at in, probably not real great, but I'd be happy so share my work or help help you find some inspiration!
