Overview
About Me
Very casual, polite and easy going, pretty much sums it up... Inquisitive, interested and relaxed. After hosting so many people I am not a huge fan of one night stays, I have to do a lot of work to prepare and for just one night it is honestly not worth the effort. I will make exceptions occasionally - but just keep this in mind when requesting.
This whole thing works out so much better if you want to actually meet me - rather than just stay at my place. Side note: I am super allergic to peanuts - so I can't have peanut butter or peanuts in da house...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to learn about new cultures and to meet new people. I particularly like cultures different from my western upbringing. Learning French and always interested in the culture. So always happy to have French speakers to help my language progress along.

Music, Movies, and Books
Always seeing lots of live music, have a very broad range of musical taste. It doesn't leave time to see many movies or TV... I do prefer movies that educate rather than entertain though. I like foreign films and like to leave a film with thoughts and questions.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
mmm lots really... lucky to still be alive I think...I have survived...
Teach, Learn, Share
I am an accomplished Photographer - always willing to share my photographic knowledge. I work particularly in Black and White, with film and digital, I have taught photography in the past and have a wide knowledge. Always happy to help educate people.
If you want to try surfing - I have a beginner board and I go quite regularly, so I am happy to get you started. I get up to Noosa pretty often also - usually a couple of times a week.
My French is still beginner - but I am working hard - I hope to be a reasonable communicator in French over the next 12 months.
Happy to help with English skills.
My guitar skills are OK - enough to teach most people something they don't know.
I have a lot of knowledge about the world and am always happy to share what I know.
What I Can Share with Hosts
History of the area, the little know places, a nice relaxed house, ideas and good conversation - chances are you will know much more than you did on leaving, than you had before you came. I also have beginner surfboards and bicycles that you are welcome to use. I go surfing a lot - so happy to help you have a try if you are interested.
