About Me

I'm a biker & hacker living in the beautiful Pirin mountains and building a new way of life for myself and friends. Important: if you're looking for accommodation on short notice, ring me on +447479870570 as the cs app often doesn't seem to alert me of requests in time for me to accept them. I'm on WhatsApp too. If you're using the free WiFi in Bansko town square, you're already a stone's throw from my house.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because couch surfers are extraordinary people and I like extraordinary people. This chapter of life is for discovery and travel and couch-surfers understand that better than anyone.

Interests

Very, very, very fast, loud, sporty, motorcycles,
ordinary, slow, old, small, spartan, sail-boats (ab)used on long, difficult, voyages,
epic travel adventures,
exceptional food,
exotic red wines with a real cork and a deep dimple in the bottom,
friendship

Music, Movies, and Books

Rock, folk, Spanish and funk guitar and any street music.
Films that move you, like Last King of Scotland or quirky ones like District 9 and Bunraku.
Books based on real life but where the author takes a little creative license, like Shantaram or The Kite Runner.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I make my hair grow, without even thinking about it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning. I'm still learning how to learn. I can show you a better way to tie your shoes (unless you're already a genius who has figured this out). I can show you the right way to crush garlic. You can show me (again), the right way to chop onions. Many have tried, all have failed.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love the therapy of cooking with others. I have an infectious sense of boundless possibility. I've been everywhere too, so I have a few stories to tell.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, China, Costa Rica, Croatia, Finland, India, Indonesia, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Norway, Russian Federation, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, Kenya, Northern Ireland, Poland, South Korea, Switzerland, United Kingdom
