About Me

As an artist i love to see the world and find connections through culture and inviroment. Others discribe me as a very cheerful person that loves to cook and to spoil people. I love to find new adventures and I'm always seeking new ones to explore. Since 2017 i had the chance to become a travelguide for Kriskras. At the moment i work as a artteacher in a highschool. And i also teach dutch to newcomers from all over the world.——————————————————————————Instagram: robyneab •FB: Robyne Auwers Barreda

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is a fantastic medium to know new persons from all around the world. As a formal exchange student (peru- 1year) I find it important to get to know the profoundness of a culture and their people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Waking up with a smile to the music of Awilo Longomba,
Drawing and sketching with George Telek,
Parties with some latin sounds that end with reggaeton crazieness
and drinking tea with The Idan Raichel project on the background.

My collection of art books is growing. Most of them are about travelled inspired artworks and everything that is involved with nature. (land art,...)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It all started when I met my best friend, who had adventured some parts of the world and she gave me the travelbugs.

I went on a short exchange to South Africa (Durban) where I found a family and some amazing friends.

To come back with a bigger desire to see the world, I decided to go on a longterm exchange to Peru (Tacna) where I lived for a year. I also discovered Cusco, Lima, Arequipa, Puno, Madre de Dios, ...

During this adventure we had some exchangestudents and volunteirs in my house. So my family is only getting bigger.

The result of this is that I went back to Peru and South Africa to see my friends and family. I discovered Russia with help from my Russian sister (who was a volunteer living with my family) who showed me a big part of Russia,... yes Russia is big.

And now i work as a travelguide! My dream came true!
