Overview
About Me
I like to sit back and watch the world go by until I am ready to jump in and play amongst the waters.
I am careful and inquisitive, happy and forceful.
My heart is my compass. Quite literally, if it is the time for me to proceed in a direction down a path, my heart will open. If I turn slightly to the left for instance and it is not the correct time or avenue, my heart will close. I feel it quite viscerally. And if it is not the right time to make a move, I stand still and wait and watch. This method has led me to great adventures and wonderful people at crossroads I would have otherwise never known. Small nonsensical things here and there like dilly-dallying a few extra minutes at the grocery store for no apparent reason or missing that first bus on a whim to make an appointment with the person coming to meet you who doesn't know that they are yet. I listen, and respond accordingly with my feelings. =]
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I nest and wander alternately. My favorite meetings are those "by the universe" kinds where you meet exactly who you are meant to as conditions ripen. Sorting through different avenues of possibility and observing serendipity... that is very interesting to me. Seeking out who I am meant to meet and watching what unfolds is basically how I operate.
Interests
My purpose in the world is to be of true benefit to living beings. Which is why I am also a Buddhist and Dharma practitioner.
I am also Russian trained for both ballet and violin, still training seriously to become a ballerina and a violinist. On top of writing, business, and education for redox biochemistry. I can go on for literally hours about redox signaling molecules! I'm also really excellent at healing, want to formally become an accupuncturist too. I also love martial arts and fighting (trained for Shaolin, tai chi, and female sword form ninjitsu)! And do copious amounts of yoga.
My record is 6 yoga classes in a row in one day at my studio back home, 4 hot yoga, 2 normal. Got to have some sense of proportion I suppose?
I also model, act, sing, etc. I do a lot of photoshoots. I want to be pretty much everything and do everything.
Also: FOOD. I'm huge on food. Cooking, eating it, being fed. Mainly being fed. That's my favorite. Ah, and cats. Food and cats. Oh, and shoujo manga!

Music, Movies, and Books
Top favorite movies: Pride and Prejudice and Serenity!
Favorite music, dubstep, chillstep, and things I can dance and choreograph too.
My favorite books are deeply intricate and highly intropective of the human condition, artfully written. Isaac Marion is probably my favorite. I'm also getting more into reading in Ukrainian, which is my favorite language.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Diffused impending violence with a mindful redirection of energy. I'm big on flow, changing circumstances, compassion, and not getting hit.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have a very rich, wide, and varied background. Most important skill I have learned so far: the breath! Meditation anyone? ^_^
What I Can Share with Hosts
I make excellent Russian chicken soup. I'm excellent at healing and analysis. I'm an empath and a Buddhist, and can actually feel and see the root causes of suffering and amend them. Pawz because I am secretly a cat? A wild sense of adventure, a meditative space of peace (or the cultivation of the skills necessary to develop such a way of life), and an ironic sense of humor? Unprecedented breakthrough biotechnology? I actually work for a global biotech company. xD Whatever is most needed I can typically bring.
