ABOUT ME

I am full of adventure. I never pass up the opportunity to see new things. I feel that we grow by talking and hearing other perspectives on all that surrounds us.

I love to converse with people and learn about different cultures.

I am originally from Indiana (lived on a farm). When I was in my early 23's I jumped in my car and headed West. I never knew I would still be here 13 years later, but here I am. I have lived in Los Angeles for about 5 years and in Phoenix AZ for a total of 8.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that my true purpose in life is to contribute to others in a way that influences them in a positive way.

Life is not about the places we go but the people we meet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been away for a few years but very exited to get back into the couchsurfing community. I couchsurfed across Europe and have now been hosting since 2011. I am delighted that I have been able to take part in this wonderful community. Its been such a stellar experience to be able to travel/host and meet people that I feel have made this opportunity so worthwhile.

I really believe that to get the true experience of a new place it's about the people you meet and not where you go and what you see.

Interests

Of course TRAVEL as well as hiking, photography, reading, watching sports, and learning as much as I can about other cultures and meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: My favorite TV shows are Suits and Shameless. I am always open to new ones!

Music: I enjoy all music. Those most listened to would be indie alternative, hip hop, and anything with a piano in it.

Books: I pretty much only ready non fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is hard to answer because each experience holds a special memory and lesson to me. Each place I have visited has its own unique memory to me because of the people that I met while I was there.

I have a rule that I never visit the same place twice since their are so many sites to see in the world. name a country that I have visited and I can tell you what I found special about it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn as much as I can about cultures. I don't travel to just see all the sights but to learn about the people and history.
