About Me

CURRENT MISSION

A Musical and Culinary Journey Around the World (and in my living room) For the Four Senses

ABOUT ME

I really like music and playing with other people. I also like having potlucks, smoking hookah, and going on random adventures. I'm in a band called Mad-Sweet Pangs that tours Delaware, NY, Boston, and the like. Check it out at madsweetpangs.com

I'm really easy going and friendly. I mumble a lot (my friends call it Rob speak) and I look kind of like Adam Brody (which started out as as a perk but has gotten annoying over the years). I also enjoy purple V-Necks and yellow bandannas. I've got a lot of energy.

I'm an anosmiac, which means I don't have a sense of smell. It sucks, because I really like food and wish I could smell it, but it's good for riding the NY subways and for being on tour with four dudes in a van.

I always am always down to play music. I play drums, cajon, piano, guitar, and sitar.

PHILOSOPHY

Uh? That's a pretty loaded question but the jist of it is I live my life for learning new things. Whether it's new instruments, new recipes, new sports, whatever, I like the challenge and process of learning stuff.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to the CS Project and I'm hoping to get more acclimated to the whole thing in my upcoming trip to Spain.

I'm hoping that after my upcoming travels, my apartment in NYC can be a good spot for people to come crash, play music, make friends, party, and explore New York

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I´ve just had my first week couch surfing and it´s been amazing. I´ve learned so much and seen so much I would have had I been staying in a hostel or on my own. Over my first week I´ve got on hikes, traded music a cooked meals with my host, talked about pretty much anything, and I´ve even learned a little self defense!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I jumped off a boat and swam with wild dolphins. That was a lot of fun. Playing music in front of a lot of people I guess would be the thing I'm most proud of... And watching the sunrise and set from a mountain in Barcelona was pretty incredible.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn music from people. I want to teach music to people. I want to share songs and grooves and the like.

I also cook pretty well and love learning new recipes. I'm also good at teaching people to drive a standard and how to spin a frisbee on one's finger.
