ABOUT ME

I'm a country girl from small town Iowa (midwest, USA). I grew up on a farm and will always be a farm girl at heart. I love to travel, but am currently living back in my home town . I recently returned from living in a small farming community in Northern Philippines. The Philippine is a second home to me and I miss it terribly. That being said, I'm absolutely loving spending time being back around my family I love meeting new people and hearing their stories. Especially people who love to travel! I generally always have a smile on my face--especially when I'm traveling. I have a thirst for adventure that won't seem to go away. I love trying new things.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've made some amazing friends, people who have been kind enough to host me and/or show me around their city and people I've hosted. The time I've spent with people from couchsurfing have actually turned into some of my favorite memories of my trips.

Learning about new cultures and people, reading, relaxing on the beach, hanging with my friends, traveling, watching movies/tv, hiking, horseback riding, adventure.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

"Traveling: It leaves you speechless and then turns you into a storyteller." I think traveling stories are the best kind of stories. Here are my favorite episodes of "Rochelle's adventures":
1) The one where my friend and I got robbed by a baboon in Northern Ghana.
2) The one where I learned how to plow using a water buffalo.
3) The one where I swam with and petted wild manatees in Homosassa, Florida, US.
