About Me
Sorry....I haven't updated this profile since 2014. I'll update it soon.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Like many others on this site I'm completely addicted to traveling, collecting a wide range of experiences and meeting interesting people. After I finished university I spent nearly 4 years living, working, and traveling in Australia, Southeast Asia, and China. I started to miss my friends and family back home so I returned to San Francisco where I worked for two years pursuing a purpose driven career around sustainability and social responsibility.
I got the itch again so now I'm in Nepal and I'm hoping to spend two months here volunteering/interning with a local nonprofit.
I'm laidback, incredibly empathetic (sometimes too much so), and easy to get along with. As much as I can, I try to be the person that I want to be, independent of who I'm expected to be.
PHILOSOPHY
To diversify my experiences as much as possible while also making time to do whatever makes me happy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host, surf, post/respond to group forums, meet up w/ CSers and attend CS events when I can.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've met an insane amount of couchsurfers during my travels who tell me I'm a fool for not having surfed earlier. I hosted people on my couch in Beijing and I have met up with many CSers for drinks/meals/events. I have also surfed a decent amount around China, Taiwan and Malaysia. It never gets old.
Interests
Cooking, food, soccer, Gaelic Football, other sports that kind of resemble soccer, environmentalism, cafes, cycling, trying things I've never heard of, competitive sushi eating, ridiculous conversations, extreme laughter, silliness

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent a weekend as a guest in a Serbian royal palace in Belgrade.
Survived having my motorbike stolen from me in the late afternoon while I was taking pictures of a waterfall off of a deserted jungle road in Laos, over 20kms away from civilization.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach about the intricacies of being a first generation American Born Chinese, how to make sushi rolls, dreadlocks, and off-road motorbiking techniques in SE Asia. I also know how to fold turtles out of paper. I'm open to learning anything anyone wants to teach me.
