ABOUT ME

I work in a restaurant as a sever and I actually enjoy it; I meet plenty of interesting people, and get to have a laugh everyday. (Plus I get to try plenty of craft beer!) I'm too honest and sometimes it gets me into trouble, but I think it is my most valued quality. I believe laughing is contagious, especially if it's from a child. And I absolutely love to eat. Anything. All. Damn. Day!

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in music the way some people believe in fairy tales.

People are supposed to work to live, not the other way around.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I started surfing in Budapest September 2014 and worked my way through Europe. Those two months were some of the best times I've ever had, and I was lucky enough to meet some very generous and kind-hearted people. Life isn't always pretty - but this community of people is beautiful!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My friend and I were immensely lucky to have been able to stay in a mansion in Bergen, Norway. Our host Sean was unreal! He is really one of the nicest people I've ever met. (Although everyone was pretty great.) He was very keen to host and went well beyond his means, to please everyone. The first night, there were 21 surfers, all of who he accepted (at different times, not totally realizing the number.) He accommodated everyone. We had a big 'family dinner' and cooked some of our countries' specialties. The next night there was fewer of us, he set up a quiet fire in the backyard, with acoustic guitars and marshmallows - the whole shebang! (Forget about the cushy bed, hot water showers, and private room;) the company was by far the best bit! It was the perfect ending, and absolutely the highlight of my European adventure. (Thanks Sean)!

I live for live music. I've spent at least 30% of my life's earnings on concerts.

My favourite movie is Into the Wild (shamefully, I've never read the book.) The Half Blood Blues, Wild and To Kill A Mockingbird are probably three of my favourite stories. I'll rock out to anything, but my all time favourite is Tom Petty.

I witnessed orca whales jumping free-willy style along side our ferry somewhere between Vancouver and Victoria. Hands down the coolest thing I've ever seen!
