Overview
About Me
Hello! I'm an Egyptian Fulbright Scholar at SIUE, Illinois. I teach Arabic as a second language, and host cultural events on campus whenever I can.
I was born and raised in Alexandria, Egypt right by the Mediterranean. I'm used to big cities, but have found myself enjoying the slow, suburban life in America for the past 6 months.
Would love to meet up for coffee and culture anywhere in the St. Louis area.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love traveling and meeting new people from all over the world. I'm a story-teller, but I enjoy listening to what other people have to say as well.
Many a time have locals shown me great hospitality when I was visiting their country, and I would like to pay it forward now that I have a place of my own!

Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Jazz, and Indie.
Amelie, The Tree of Life, Hugo, The Before Trilogy.
The House on Mango Street, Sula, Persepolis, Jane Austin, Wuthering Heights.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Slept at the foot of a mountain in the Western Desert in February with nothing but a fleece throw.
I was wildly unprepared for the adventure, but the view of the Milky Way 100% made up for the brutal cold!
Teach, Learn, Share
If you're interested, I can probably teach you almost any kind of handicraft! Egyptian food is a good second option.
I'd love to learn new recipes, and skills, too!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Warm company, good conversations, and lots and lots of interesting stories!
