I am from a missionary family of 13. I’ve been involved in ministry and volunteer work since childhood; from teaching values classes to low income children and renovating orphanages to investing in the spiritual aspect of the lives of those we meet through counseling, bible studies, and encouragement. Through the years of service I’ve seen much need and heartache but I’ve also seen that just one person, sharing their time, skills, and energy, can effect positive change in another’s life. It’s a fulfilling line of work. :)

Music: More often then not, I listen to music on shuffle, moving from classical to rock to pop to country without skipping a beat. I can grow to like any kind of music but I believe that music is spiritual and can have a definite effect. I go by "Does it make me not only feel good, but feel good in the right way? Does it make me want to be good, do good, love, be loved, is it constructive?"

Books: At the moment I'm all about True Adventure. Books like Alive by Piers Paul Read or The Tiger by John Vaillant. For fun, it's immersive fantasy worlds that really have captured me, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Narnia and the like. As far heady reading, theological books are where I put my efforts.

Movie: I'll just admit I'm a film nerd. If you love it I've probably seen it, am meaning to see it or I want you to tell me about it! But my real love is the experience, a film that gives me a new world to explore, different from the one I live in.

When working as the event planner for Life Standard (a charity benefiting orphans), I was able to organize an soccer tournament for 110 children from orprhanages in Monterrey, Mexico. The boys and girls that competed loved it, especially the trophies and movie tickets for the winners!
