About Me

I will be in SA early Jan 2025 to attend my best friend's wedding.

I love travelling and learning about new cultures. It takes a lot more effort but I'm also a big fan of learning languages.
From Mexico (where I currently am), I lived almost 6 years in the UK and I attended a french school. I think both things make me quite multicultural.
I have an undergrad in Physics and a PhD in Mathematics, but these days I work as an environmental consultant.
Big on many outdoor activities including cycling, hiking, climbing. I recently started yoga and I'm loving too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because it's an amazing way to travel and meet new, interesting people, as cliché as it sounds. It's been many years since I was last here, but I loved couchsurfing due to the amazing experiences that I had with people that hosted me in SF and then in Oxford.

Music, Movies, and Books

Recently I'm obsessed with Fred Again. I'm reading non-fiction essays about the digital revolution and also essays about the natural world and weird or fantastic species. I love all things cinema, and my favourite director is Wes Anderson.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In June 2015 I hiked the John Muir Trail, a 19 day, ~360 km hike in the Sierra Nevada, California. I was a big challenge, to tell the truth there were days that I wished I had picked a shorter trail, but in retrospect it is one of the most beautiful things I have done.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Difficult question. I think I enjoy meeting a new person, and having a good conversation, specially when this person belongs to another culture and sees the world with different eyes than me.

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom
