About Me

So here I go… I’ve studied physical education in the faculty of Human Kinetics (University of Lisbon) and also worked as teacher in the primary school teaching young children. At the same time I worked in a bouldering climbing centre as a climbing coach and helped in the weekly route setting of the gym.

Since the pandemic started I decided along with my girlfriend to leave Portugal and start to explore other countries to work and get to know different people and their cultures. So far we’ve been around Europe and Australia but always with our minds in a new adventure…Last year and half we spent mostly in the east coast of Australia, mainly based in the Gold Coast but also had the opportunity to explore all the way between Sydney and north of Cairns.

I’ve always been a social guy since very young and that continued even through the years of university which I lived in students residence sharing the room with other friends. Meeting new people was always present since I’m a easy going person that likes to know about people’s adventures, stories and cultures.

I love travelling to new places and see all the wonders that every place as to offer. Even though I’m quite easy to satisfy and normally enjoy walking (or riding bycicle) around cities and villages, I will be more eager to visit the nature around…. And well, I could share some more but I think you will get to know more of myself if we meet, that's for sure!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My interest in Couchsurfing started when I went to the university and met a friend which had so many amazing stories and adventures around the world and always with his Couchsurfing memories… I have to be honest, at that moment I felt like "I gotta do it…”.

After 2 years in University I decided to go on Erasmus to Valência and in there I met two Turkish flatmates and one of them was hosting couchsurfers. That was my first real contact with Couchsurfing… and after some people, listening and sharing some adventures I finnally decided to start my own profile and start, step by step, making my own travels...

Interests

Everything about meeting people from other countries amuses me. Sports are also something that attracts me, even more if I can share some climbing moments (bouldering or lead). Music and movies make every moment even better and walks around the city, village or all the nature around. I’m also glad to try all types of culinary since I love food (and some drinks with it).

Of course travelling is one of my biggest interests and I want to travel the world… not only to see all the wonders that are spread all over the globe but also to learn more about different cultures and make good friendships.

Music, Movies, and Books

- About music Im not a strict person but my preferences are Rock, Reggae, Jazz, Classic, Trance and Tecno.

- I love sci-fi, I really love them but let's say some good names: Braveheart, Star Wars, The Shawshank Redemption, Life Is Beautiful, Matrix, Avatar (My favourite movie, I love that creativity all around the animals and nature), Point Break, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and so much more...

- I can’t say that I’m a book lover but I've enjoyed some Osho titles, The Papalagi (incredible view of modern European society through the eyes of a Samoan chief), The Peter principle, Siddhartha, The Alchemist, The art to be an extraordinary teacher, training for climbing

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One incredible adventure of 1200km, more or less, between Valência(Spain) untill Lisbon(Portugal) in 2 days, by hitchiking...

Even though it was fast and not so well planned, my god... it was such a great idea, so much adrenaline, happyness and some disconfort that didn’t make the experience bad or less enjoyable, only more special... I met a lot of people and everyone was special in their own way!
