About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Create, create, create.

PHILOSOPHY

I don´t think theres one philosophy but a lot of little philosophies. I don´t believe in money. I don´t believe in bubblegum. I do believe in simplicity, and the random. I believe that you need to be exposed to multiple inputs to expand your understanding of things. I´m very excited about the information era and the internet. I consider the exchange of information as a paradigm to live and work, I prefer less friends but close and good ones, instead of "just knowing people".

I don´t believe in religions. I don´t believe in politicians.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want, not just to travel but to explore the oportunity to live and work in another place(s).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I´ve always let people stay in my house and in my bedroom; friends, friends of my friends, or friends of friends of friends. I really don´t care about staying in any condition or sharing a space with other people.

Interests

Music, design, architecture, art, cinema, technology, asian cultures. I´m not into sports. I don´t like politics.

Music, Movies, and Books

Probably all the people that enjoy cinema like the same movies: Kubrick (Clockwork Orange, 2001), Tarantino (Kill Bill, Inglorious Basterds), Miyazaki (Spirited Away, Totoro), Fincher (Fight Club) and most recently Nolan (The Dark Knight, Inception).

Books... Rayuela from J. Cortazar, Nietzsche (Zarathustra), and The Tao of Pooh. I used to read a lot of literature but now I like to read more about science, from Stephen Hawking to Steven Johnson. Also books about art and architecture. Rem Koolhaas is a good architect to read.

Music is a hard topic: since I consider myself a musician and I like to make music, I enjoy a lot of things, from Philip Glass to Mars Volta. I like electronics but in a more "pure way", not the DJ kind of. I used to listen a lot of rock (Metallica, Guns N roses) but then I discovered the computers and my understanding of music changed. I like a lot of experimental music, from Bjork or Radiohead to Amon Tobin, Nine Inch Nails, to Kashiwa Daisuke or Matmos. And of course the avant gardes of the 60s, Stockhausen, Cage, Xenakis or Satie. Random bands: Sigur Ros, The Beatles, Tool, Battles, Animal Collective, Burial, Ellen Allien. NOT shakira.

Teach, Learn, Share

Knowledge... I know about my fields (music, design, art).
