I like to think of myself as a blend of creativity and intellectual curiosity. I thrive on intellectual challenges but have a soft spot for music and poetry.
I'm a startup founder, so by nature, a bit of a risk taker. It's basically the only thing I've pursued after kind of suffering in a regular job.
Up for all kinds of activities: hiking, trying new foods, anything related to animals, adventure, a little bit of partying, cultural stuff, swimming, fitness, and more..
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My main goal is to meet new people and immerse in different cultures. Guatemala is a very small country with deeply ingrained cultural paradigms, so I have a strong desire to explore the world, challenge those perspectives, and gain a broader understanding of life.
Couchsurfing feels like the ideal way to do this. Staying in five-star hotels and following prepackaged tours misses the essence of travel.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a little old fashioned when it comes to music, well not just a little. Your grandma would be happy listening to my playlists.
Some examples of my taste: Bee Gees ( my favorites ), Queen, The Beatles, Billy Joel, Elton John, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra.
My movie taste is a little bit classical, except from animated movies. I love Pixar ( Coco, Up, Toy Story, etc. ) Other from that I like movies like The Godfather, Goodfellas, Schindler's List and Pulp Fiction.
Finally there's books. I love writing. And my favorite authors are: Gabriel García Márquez, Mario Vargas Llosa, Miguel Ángel Asturias, Julio Cortázar, Pablo Neruda, Charles Dickens, J.R.R Tolkien and Fyodor Dostoyevski.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I randomly decided to move alone and build my first startup. I've never looked back.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you Spanish, cook authentic Guatemalan food, and anything you'll like to learn about starting a company.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my country's culture and the latino spice that comes with it. Also, I could be a great adventure companion if you like going to natural places.
