About Me

Hey! I'm mexican-born; I'm a singer and I write songs (take a look at my instagram short clips).
I studied political science as well. I am concerned with the mad and shocking inequality and poverty my country is embedded in. I'd like to make a degree in public policy or security to help my country do better when I get older. Although, to be honest, politics are scary back in Mexico and you get discouraged to the limit.

I don't think there's something cooler than making new friends from all over the place. I've recently developed wanderlust as well, I made Erasmus in Belgium years ago and now my spirit won't rest 'till i visit every continent in the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is the best since you get to know a local! They know better, bro. You can learn a ton of things. I think that being by yourself in another city gives you just an insight of the surface.
Everybody (i'd hope) loves people outside their mindset: so many jokes, topics to share and talk about. It really expands your perception about stuff you consider as fixed.

Interests

I've always been passionate for arts and culture. Music, Philosophy and Literature have been a personal devotion for years. I love a good conversation about pretty much whatever. Everytime I travel to a city I read as much as I can about the place, since I love history.

However, I really appreciate the time for beer and talk. I think is the coolest space for people to get along. I lived in Belgium, so beer is an important part of my process of making new friends, I guess. Haha.

Music, Movies, and Books

Talkin' bout things that matter: Music: Antonio Carlos Jobim, Cole Porter, Paco de Lucia, Debussy, Chopin and The Beatles! Personal heroes re just so cool.

I love history and philosophy as well. My favorite novels are Siddartha by Herman Hesse, The Fall by Albert Camus. I love Shakespeare, Oscar Wilde and lots of others. Immanuel Kant and Hannah Arendt are people who changed my life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My erasmus in Louvain-la-Neuve was AWESOME. I shared a flat with 36 foreign students from all over the world.

I've played for hundreds of people and played with several bands & different types of music through the years. I had a Jazz fusion/funk group when I was 17; a blues band with 3 records and lots of rock & roll bands.

I was a camper when I was younger, as well.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a proud mexican; I love my country's music, history and specially food! I could actually make some chilaquiles for you people, haha. I use to carry a flask with mexican tequila for everyone I meet to try. I mean, tequila is shitty back in Europe guys. Seriously. :d

I'm really curious about cultural differences, habits. Man kind is an inexhaustible bag of surprises, so meeting people closely is something awesome for me.

What I Can Share with Hosts
