About Me

I'm a young architect and urbanist, currently studying a PhD in Portugal and trying to travel and get to know more places while I visit my friends, meet new people, and pay my duties as a researcher. I'm a Brazilian but I have lived in the Netherlands and in the U.S. Since 2014 I'm far from home, living abroad.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I believe in people and people's kindness, as well as I believe I can practice kindness through helping others discover another corner of the world and transform dreams into reality. I've made amazing friendships through CS, with people with whom I developed serious and long-term friendships with depth until today.

Interests

I'm interested in so many things that I could go on and on, but I will spare that long text for now. I am surely interested in cities and languages, as well as books. Recently I've been interested in photography and fine arts.

Music, Movies, and Books

I grew up loving music and wanting to be a musician. I have many favourites to choose from, but I would say that the most impactful and meaningful music in my life, so far, was and it has been the Smashing Pumpkins. Regarding books, I am a bookworm. Seriously, I do read and write for living. I love reading all kinds of books, from novels to architectural theory big books. I also like movies, I do prefer dramas, suspenses, and sometimes action - like Inception - but mostly I do like meaningful films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I flew without knowing where I was going to and figure out how to get back on track on my journey; such an adventure! I also went camping on the Rocky Mountains, it was fantastic!

Teach, Learn, Share

We can always exchange knowledge through conversation and some specific skills. We can talk about architecture, I can give you some tips about the history of architecture, and how to play a guitar, but currently my guitar is back in Brazil. We can exchange some language knowledge, specially Portuguese (from my side).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share food and tours around the city of Lisbon, and also films and music we can watch and listen together. I also do volunteer work, so if you are interested in coming along, you're more than welcome.
