About Me

Photography and documentary are definitely one of my greatest passions, this allows me constant or inconstant way to know the places and people wich is my finally motivation in life.
Moreover, we know how our world is and Mother Nature today, quite polluted in every sense of the word. Selfishness, individuality, competitiveness, lies and unconsciousness are some of the vices that often prevail and even teach us, whether from small in school or as always in the media. those bads feelings that surround us many times, wanted to discourage me countless times, but is the very simple fact of traveling and which has proven to me more and more that I find profoundly wrong to think that way. I reaffirmed all the people I have met in Cuba, Bolivia, Mexico, Costa Rica, France, Peru, Spain, Argentina, New Zealand or the south of my beloved Chile. Traveling is definitely the best way to meet and know each other, and even though the countries, cultures, colors of flags or skin vary, do not change the basic essence, many times unseen that we have the humans (and lots of animals ), this is LOVE.
With these convictions, I continued to build my faith and hope, and it continued the search through my travels with my camera, so that tomorrow can contribute in some way and keep adding love and hope ourselves.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The main reason for being part of this beautiful community is simply to know through people, cultures, customs, stories, experiences and knowledge, either by opening the doors of my house or someone to open my own. As a traveler and documentary photographer, I am convinced that one of the best ways to try to change the mentality against prejudice among humans, is just getting to know, and what better than Couchsurfing!

Interests

Curious birth, my interests cover a large range of topics. You could say that music, human, cinema, nature, traveling, photography, food and beverage and my own instinct are in the forefront of my interests. Having some of that in any part or situation, my attention and curiosity becomes interest.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music and films, as well as food and humans is so diverse, that in my humble opinion one can not be typecast in one style. I could only say I'm a music and a movies lover, so if you know and like me, you love this food for the soul, here you have a partner to enjoy.
Books are like movies and music in the vast ocean of diversity, so I try to read what seems interesting. At this point I find myself reading two books of cinema, the first one I found in Buenos Aires called Herzog on Herzog, a long interview with Werner Herzog one of the directors of most interesting filmography and exemplifying philosophy and how filmmaking shut be do it. The other is called Lessons of cinema, which are short interviews with various filmmakers. And the last one that i´m reading and also lost at the airport in Auckland and returned to buy in Argentina, called "The Teachings of Don Juan" who are the writings of Carlos Castaneda, and his incredible story of anthropology and shamanism in Sonora Mexico in the late sixties. And finally I think my next book will be the Lonely Planet East Asia.
