About Me

Not easy to describe oneself in general... I love to enjoy company and learn more about people's views on life and on their relationship with the rest of the world. But I enjoy being out on my own a lot and that's also inspiring. I love variation. And funny spelling errors. And I love biking, working as a researcher at Wageningen Research, cooking, hanging out with my wife and my friends, playing board games, singing, yoga, going to concerts...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I biked through New England and Michigan on my own, and from Oslo to Copenhagen with my girlfriend, and on both trips I surfed some couches. I have hosted my some couchsurfers in Utrecht; All has been a while ago now. More surfers are welcome in Nijmegen, do come by!

This is a truly great project! Meeting people who know so much about their region and are willing to share their interesting lives... Looking forward to more experiences!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My biking trip through New England: seeing new things during the day, enjoying the Indian Summer, getting really wet sometimes, getting really sore sometimes, and connecting by so many friendly and generous people in the evening. On the second place is probably my (short) research trip to Papua New Guinea, because the interaction with cocoa farmers in their villages.
