About Me
ABOUT ME
I love joy in little details, finding treasures (in a new town or a thrift shop), coffee shops, hammocks, vintage books, being outside, spontaneity, people (all kinds of people), lip gloss, traveling, a good pair of shoes, music, restaurants, power tools and weekend projects, cardigans, concerts, wine, swing sets, pearls, laughing so hard it hurts, and living life in abundance.
I'm a dreamer & a doer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting new people, first and foremost. When traveling, I find it best to get to know the people in the city/country I am exploring. Returning home with memories of locations and sites seen is wonderful, but remembering the people who live there is even better! Secondly, staying in a person's home (versus a popular hotel) allows for a deeper experience of the city. CS hosts are wonderful to offer non-touristy locations for eating, drinking, sight-seeing, etc. Experiencing the city through the lens of a local is priceless.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is SUCH an incredible gift. I simply couldn't imagine living without music. I like a wide variety of genres and I find it extremely difficult to pick favorites. Some of my most played artists are Joshua Radin, Iron & Wine, Billy Joel, The Civil Wars, Coldplay, Queen, The Avett Brothers, Kari Jobe, Bon Iver, Sufjan Stephens, Journey, Amos Lee, Justin Timberlake, Drew Holcomb, John Mayer, Robbie Seay Band, The Weepies, Donnie Mclurkin, Ray LaMontagne, One Republic, Sturgill Simpson, Norah Jones, Bonnie Rait...(A tremendously wide variety & so TOUGH to narrow down a favorite)
I watch movies, but only occasionally. My favorites are also incredibly varied and include You've Got Mail, The Giant Mechanical Man, Notting Hill, Training Day, Gladiator, and The Goonies.
I read 2-3 books a month with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine in hand.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to cook famous "Tex-Mex" style food.
I love learning just about everything.
I will share stories, my time, and my wi-fi. :)
