About Me

Working as a software engineer building tools for rural hospitals while I figure out what the next big step is. When I’m not messing with code, I like to spend time reading, cooking, and playing video games.

When the weather allows I’m out walking/hiking or visiting one of the many awesome breweries that have bloomed all over the metro.

To make the words "All men are created equal" a reality, not just rhetoric.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people and exploring new places. I'm also attracted to the strong and flexible community of CSers around the world and would like experience it for myself.

Interests

Movies, indie rock, jazz & hip-hop, reading, global and national politics, history, and learning about other cultures . Besides that, I'm always interested in being exposed to new stuff that I would have never imagined.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My trip to Israel was pretty awesome all around, but in particular, my group went on a hike through some of the desert mountains. It was a tough trek, but it was worth as we found a secluded waterfall and pool. There were little crabs living in the cracks of the stone and it was just amazing to spend a couple of hours relaxing and enjoying the spot. Great place, great people, and one Rabbi who had lived more stories to tell than anyone I had ever met.

Teach, Learn, Share

Besides my formal education in Political Science, I spent time in Israel learning at an Orthodox Yeshiva. So even though most people don't like to talk about religion or politics, these are two fields that I am well versed in and very comfortable discussing with people from varied backgrounds.
I'm also a big fan of history, particularly the last two hundred years or so. Examining the evolution of an increasingly globalized world since the dawn of the Industrial Revolution is fascinating to me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to cook and I don't shy away from cleaning. I'm apt at most household chores, pretty much everything from mopping floors, to washing dishes, preparing meals, all the way to replacing shower heads.
I've also been told I'm an entertaining story-teller.
