I am a retired Patent Attorney, living about an hour's drive north of Cambridge with my disabled wife and her live-in carer. We have fields attached to the house which are used for horses. I like to go running a few times a week and have taken part in several marathons including the Athens and London marathons. I also like long distance hiking holidays and am trying to learn the guitar.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have had many guests staying here from the Helpx system and have enjoyed meeting lovely people from all over the world. On one occasion, when walking the Camino de Santiago Compostella I met a boy who said that becoming a Couchsurfer had changed his life because now he knew that he could travel anywhere in the world and have a place to stay. I am hoping my experience will reflect his.
