About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience different cultures and customs unfamiliar with that of my own. To let my mind become a sponge, and soak up all that I can where ever I go! I wish to experience the culture through the eyes of a local. Help a brother out? :)

ABOUT ME

I am currently twenty-seven years old, open minded and down to earth. I'm quite fascinated with nature and all the life lessons one can learn through its roots. Philosophy is amazing and love to discuss it with like-minded people. I love rocks and minerals and love to collect them. My favorite color is blue. I love to sing and dance and play around. I'm quite shy at first but I can open up easily. Right now I'm really interested in different forms of healing. Whether it be through massage, aroma therapy, sound healing, chroma-therapy, ancient chinese medicine, acupuncture, etc. Well... thats it for now I guess lol.

PHILOSOPHY

See the whole world as yourself; think about everyone being just like you, making all the actions and choices you make daily. And knowing that no matter what, it will be okay. Life is short, why not enjoy it with others who feel the same?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
By being Roger. I right now am not looking to host but am looking to stay with hosts. I am willing and able to clean, cook, tend to any outdoor activities, take care of the host's pets, sing, dance, and hang out and have good conversations.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never really couch surfed outside my city yet but the surfing I've done in my city has brought out a vast majority of insanely fun times. From basement punk shows, to make belief forts and bad scary movies slumbers; its been a ride. The most introspective surf I had was with this very spiritual lady who got me to be more in tune and in touch with myself and my surroundings. Couch surfing rules!

Interests

Traveling, equality, ART!, nature, stillness, music, literature, awareness, survival, bonding, adventure, self exploration, being active, playing video games, taking pictures, recording moments, being myself, having compassion and love towards all beings, Burning Man, and most of all, living my life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music but mostly rock, hop hop, jazz, chillwave, electro, and tribal. Movies is too tough man, I love film in general! And as for books I'll definitely have to say Bukowski, Vonnegut, Nietzche, Sarte, CARLOS CASTANEDA!, Poe, Shakespeare, and Brautigan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've visited my distant family across the country when I was 7 and 10 ( that changed my perspective on a lot of things). I've fallen in love and know what the feeling is (some and most can't say the same). I rescued a cat from the vicious alley ways of Las Vegas NV and kept it as my cat. I've also managed to speed run through super mario bros. 3 within an hour. Yup. I also helped build and paint the Burn Wall Street art instalation for Burning Man 2012, that was SOMETHING ELSE! lol

Teach, Learn, Share

I am bilingual and speak Spanish fluently; but would also like to learn intermediate Spanish speaking skills. I am an avid self taught photographer who enjoys the essence of every snap. Cooking is another one of my attributes and can serve well when the host isn't in a cooking mood. Conversation, when sparked the right way, can lead to hours of philosophical inquiry and exchange. I'd love to catch up on and learn more French. Any other skills would be intriguing to me, I'm an open book. I was also in massage therapy for a few months and learned how to perform Swedish massage on the body. I'm open to learning and sharing ANYTHING that has to do with healing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a laugh. An intimate, intellectual conversation. A night on the town. A walk in the city, jungle, or beach. I can share moments with you. Rocks and minerals. Crystals and gems. But most of all, I can share my life with you!
