ABOUT ME

Well if you ask anybody about me, the first thing people will certainly tell you is that I breath, I walk and I eat music...specifically percussion...Im really passionate for music with lots of rhythm, as well as for music from countries with profound culture. Also people will tell you that Im a very open minded, creative, and free spirit person that always likes a great chat, and to get to know new people, new cultures. I consider myself, a music citizen from the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well since Ive trvelled as student, to other countries such as Cuba, Venezuela and Panama, yes Ive had some CS experiences, most of them in Panama and even in Cuba, were its so restricted for foreign people. Now, here in Brazil Im sure looking forward for one! And Im certainly looking forward for one with CS.org, Hope I could change this soon.

Interests

First of all things I like to get to know people that are interested in sharing their thoughts but are also willing to hear what others have to say...hear about others opinion. Thats what I think makes this world, a better place, which leads me to say that I also like to engage activities in which I feel Im making part of a bigger thing than me. Activities in which I can help others, through out the habilities and skills Ive acquired, and most importanto through out creative Arts such as music. So recently, most of my time I spend it teaching music to old people, as well as studying other languages (in this case portuguese), and practicing martial arts (capoeira and muay thai).

Music, Movies, and Books

Books..hmm not too much of a reader but yes I love literature, at least I try to read 1 book per month, specially novels from Gabriel García Marquez, Jose Saramago, Borges..etc and poems. Now movies, woa..I can say Im a huge fan of The BIG SCREEN, but Im not only refering to Hollywood movies, I also like independent films, and latin american movies.

Finally, music..well.. that I haven`t quite figured out..Just love all type of music, as long as its music..you know what I mean..from Metal (Dimu Borgir, Craddle, Sepultura, Nirvana, Pearl..) up to Classic Music (Beethoven, Mozart, Haendel, Shumman, most of all them..ohh and Chopin!)Love the music, depends on the "mood" Im on..but of course I will always be on the mood for Salsa..!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Big moments for me, well the first one,I could think of, was my trip to Cuba, in 2006. This was a great moment for me because it was something I was waiting for soo long, so I was really eagered to go there and get to know the culture, as well as improvve my percussion.

The second moment, was the concert I gave when I graduated from music, there in Cuba. That made me feel realized as a person, since it was a goal and almost a dream I had since very little.

And finnally I can say that one of the mos important moments of my life, is the trip to BRazil I have done now, which has helped me see the world with other eyes, and gain more confidence, and growth.

Teach, Learn, Share

Im a professional musician, with emphasis in Latin percussion. Also I speak Spanish, French, Portuguese and English of course. French I studied for 4 years, obtaining the B2 degree, and well portuguese Im still studying, but I speak fluent portuguese. Also I practice Muay Thai, and I will like to continue practicing Capoeira.
