About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Mentor and inspire young adults to lives of passionate commitment to peace, social justice and earth stewardship

ABOUT ME

I am a fairly sociable person who enjoys connecting with others and building community. For example, the other day, for my 60th birthday celebration,we hosted a house concert/arts cafe where those attending had a chance to supplement the music with their own creative contributions. I took advantage of this by reading some of my poetry and one my short stories. The next day we joined a demonstration of several thousand at the state capitol where we supported over 150 people who were engaging in civil disobedience to protest the current legislature's efforts to dismantle human services, education and voting rights. Most people would say that I am responsible and considerate, and some with a Midwestern sense of humor might even say "funny".

PHILOSOPHY

We are all connected. We are all on a spiritual journey (whether we know it or not). Our journeys are enriched by radical gratitude, expansive love and good humor.

Music, Movies, and Books

Recently enjoyed watching "The Saphires" and "A Face in the Crowd". I enjoy the music of Bonnie Rait, Jimmy Cliff, Judy Collins and many other artists of a variety of genres. I recently enjoyed reading from the works of Dave Barry, David Sedaris and Jim Wallis and I try not to miss listening to Garrison Keillor's monologue on "Prairie Home Companion".
