About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finish my studies, meet as many fun people as possible and then see the whole feckin world!

ABOUT ME

I'm open, easy to get to know. Always love going out, having a laugh - it's all about the craic, people! I'm very sociable and find it quite easy getting to know people too. I've travelled a bit in the past few years as a language student and I have itchy feet now!

If for whatever reason I can't host or people coming to Leeds have already found a host I might still be available to hang out!

PHILOSOPHY

"Lovers and madmen have such seething brains, such shaping fantasies, that apprehend more than cool reason ever comprehends"- Midsummer night's dream

If you spend to much time thinking about what the point in life is you'll let the most beautiful and pointless things pass you by and this, in my view, is a mistake made too often by too many.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I've only surfed but through doing so I've met a lot of amazing people so I'd like to surf more and start hosting too!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I first couch surfed when I arrived in Bordeaux to study for a few months and met some amazing people who made my time in Bordeaux so much more amazing than I thought it would be! Through these people I met lots more couch surfers and hosts which has made me wonder why I ever stayed in hotels or hostels before. As soon as I have my own place again I want to start hosting!

Interests

I'm interested in languages hence my travels. I love doing different social activities, nothing too particular, just whatever's happening.
Love cooking. I wouldn't say I'm a professional by any measure but I have fun playing around in the kitchen.
I'm always up for doing something that'll leave a lasting impression. We tend not to remember habitual experiences so always doing new things is the best way to create memorable experiences!

Music, Movies, and Books

For books and movies I like anything that makes me stop and think and also sometimes just something relaxed to help me get through a hangover :-)
Music: way to much mention. I'm very open to hearing new things!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to Midi music festival in Beijing. Probably most fun weekend I've had in the past few years. Not even dust storms and crippling hangovers were gonna ruin the fun!

Teach, Learn, Share

My main area of knowledge is languages. I'm a language student and I have experience in teaching languages (Irish Gaelic and English). I'm more than happy to share my knowledge of the languages that I know and study. I'm studying Mandarin and French at university now. I'm also interested in sharing cultural experiences and knowledge.

I find that I learn interesting things of most people I meet. People are so different when you take the time to ignore all the similarities and so everyone has something different to share!
