About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To become the world’s most heroic political revolutionary, peace activist, music superstar, footballer and maker of tea (have to be ambitious)

ABOUT ME

I am great

PHILOSOPHY

Ah here

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Haven’t started yet but looking forward to getting going. Hosting my first next month

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None to date, but a few friends recommended I get involved

Interests

Music, sport, travel, geopolitics. I would say that the pinnacle of existence is the climax of a brilliant song at a music festival on the eve of a sunny day….that or porn.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Joy Division, Sigur Ros, Modest Mouse, Animal Collective, Grizzly Bear. Prog Rock/Art Rock is my favourite genre, then a bit of House/dance but I can enjoy nearly all. Books tend to be non-fiction (possibly haven’t the imagination) and international politics, or fiction with a relevant message (e.g. 1984). Don’t really read as much as I used with having to study a lot but just (finally) finished Bad Samaritans by Ha Joon Chang. Similarly, don’t watch as many movies as I’d like to but I’m probably more open here; like a wide range as long as it doesn’t include superheroes or anything fantastical and preferably has a powerful, plausible, story. Favs are probably There Will Be Blood, La Haine, No Country for Old Men, Life of Brian etc. I certainly wouldn’t begrudge anyone else’s’ taste or interest with regards any of the above. Diversity is what makes it worthwhile.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One day I came out of a vagina head first. That was fuckin crazy.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’d be very happy to help people with English. As I am not proficient in any language and am familiar with the feeling of struggling with a foreign language (Chinese), I have no expectation that anyone should be proficient in my own. As such, I would hope I’d be very patient. Glad to help teach guitar if that’s any use. That’s probably about all the wisdom I can impart, unless being a music snob is something people like to learn.
