About Me

CURRENT MISSION

making the world better and enjoy doing that

ABOUT ME

I am born and raised in Rotterdam. A city loved by people born there, a city misunderstood by many others. But after a tour from me, youll like it too.

I work as presenter and moderator of events. See www.rogierelshout.eu. I have seen enough piles of stone, what interests me in travelling is expierencing how people live. That is why id like to host surfers and to surf my self.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to spend my life expoloring people, cultures, philosophies, jobs. Maybe ill discover the meaning of life in the mean time, but i guess in the end that is the meaning of life. So, no time to waste and stop thinking about the future and pay all attention to the here and now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i surfed a few times in the Middle east and we (me and flatmates) regularly host people in our humble mansion.

Interests

As long as you can talk about it with passion, i'm likely to like it (unless its cars or soccer). There is less and less i take too seriously, but more and more id like to have a light-hearted talk about.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

when i was 19, i met someone from Ukraine and accepted the invitation to visit. With nothing more then a brand new backpack, a travel guide and a one way train ticket i made a 7 week trip that opened a brand new world of exploring. The backback still is my company on all my travels.

What I Can Share with Hosts

WiFi, own room, unlimited tea, fresh towels
