Overview
About Me
I grew up in Leeds, UK and currently based here, but with a medium-term plan to move to Germany. I love spending time with my cat MonsterTruck, my partner Sole (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/sole_dykes) and cooking food for my friends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think Couchsurfing makes a lot of sense to make travelling nicer and cheaper, and makes it easier to meet new people and practice my languages! I am glad to be finally taking part in it and I would like to host people in my home in Leeds at some point.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have pretty wide-ranging taste in music, from dreamy pop to the most obnoxious grindcore and seemingly everything in between! I love discovering new music and sharing it with others. If you're interested in what I've been listening to, feel free to check out my lastfm profile: https://www.last.fm/user/rohan_orton
Reading has always been very important to me. I read a lot of philosophy and political thought (favourites include Deleuze & Guattari "Mille Plateaux"; Marx "Capital"; Federici "Caliban and the Witch"; Barad "Meeting the Universe Halfway"). More recently I have been trying to read novels as a way of helping me learn Italian and I'm currently part way through "Harry Potter e la pietra filosofale" and Pitzorno "Ascolta il mio cuore"
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some coding if you’d like. Also I really like trading cooking and bread baking tips. And, I'd love to cook you a nice meal :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Definitely meals! It would also be nice to play some music together if you're interested (I play the piano, and a little guitar)
