About Me

A masters in science and an electronics engineer by profession, I have been into academia for a very long time ! I am out to see the world now and want to see, taste, experience all that is available :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Lodging is expensive and I have done less adventure than I would like to have done. CS seems like a perfect option for me to go out of my sphere and actually meet different people. Apart from the home stay part, the CS events feature looks really promising for a newbie like me.

Interests

I am happy to talk about science, tell people about my projects, ideas for some cool projects using the latest tech. Discussions on political issues really stimulate my mind (you tell me yours and I'll tell you mine). I really enjoy long runs ( Run Forest Run :D) and feel that company makes them even more special. As any other guy will tell you, I like beer, but what I actually love is something that most Indian engineers will tell you. Old Monk Black Rum ;) The beautiful bottle delivers exactly what the name suggests. It's a beautiful Old Monk sitting in lotus position and laughing away to glory, plus he is filled to the brim with beautiful black rum :D

Music, Movies, and Books

A Case of Exploding Mangoes, A Short History of Nearly Everything, Animal Farm. My music playlist is short, but it plays on repeat! It has a mix of soft vocals, fast Hindi songs, one French ( non, je ne regrette rein), one Finnish ( Ievan Polkka) and a few Kannada songs :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have written a scientific article which was published in IET's journal. I had also presented this paper at a conference in the beautiful Italian city of Catania. Link to my paper: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/312513953_A_Resistance-to-Digital_Converter_Designed_for_High_Power-line_Interference_Rejection_Capability?ev=auth_pub

Teach, Learn, Share

I can introduce people to the world of embedded systems. You want to make a T- shirt with LED lights? Let's talk! A key chain that you can track with your smartphone? I can help build that! Let's discuss craziest of business ideas and who knows, we could be onto something big ! As far as my learning goes, I want to learn to play the mouth organ and have been carrying one for quite some time now (in search of a master?)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Unique gifts from my place(as I never come empty handed!). Ideas for home automation. Meaningful discussions and definitely a bottle of old monk black rum!!
