About Me
Hi! Im Daniel
I created this profile years ago when backpacking throughout Europe, and now here we are again, spending the summer across the Atlantic!! Some about me, I'm a queer person based in NYC. I'm a finance professional working remotely. I went to cooking school so might have a trick or two under my sleeve.
Right now, I'm traveling with my boyfriend Ty. He is a school teacher and professional pet sitter, with years of experience with dogs, cats, reptiles, and some other cuties.. So if you have a mascot/live companion, we would love to help care for them.
We're both earnest good spirited men. Right now, we would love to connect with other queer besties to enjoy our summer in different locations. We're easygoing people that enjoy cooking mostly, but also dinning out and just walking around.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
There is so much value in having friends that are 'local' to a place. As a New Yorker, I see tourists being ripped off every day, or falling into tourist traps. As in any city, the best knowledge and experiences are for those who care for the city. We want care for your city, and see it through your eyes, rather than just be clueless.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
For a few years, I was a consultant for United Nations in Colombia. My years traveling to very remote places in The Andes and The Amazons allowed me to form a broader life view, respectful of indigenous traditions and knowledge, as well as to understand the role development agencies have in social relations in the global south.
