I'm José Carlos but all of my friends call me Joss. I'm an easy going person, i like to help people whether they're my friends or not.
I'm in constant learning about anything, really. People, experiences, empathy development to try and understand the others and not let that the stereotypes set us apart. I also like to learn other languages, to know about other cultures, religions or politics.

I'm someone who enjoys being a human, menaing that i look for humanity and believe we are all the same and must give support as well as receiving it. I won't develop much into it but i'd be glad to talk with you about this if you're interested, here just seems quite bizarre.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because by staying with locals during trips you can learn more about the other cultures whether I travel alone or with my friends. I'm interested in getting to know more cultures, places, sceneries, perceptions and of course people and their experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
I don't really know a lot about music genre but i've a general idea. I'm someone who enjoys almost all kinds of music, from 60s and 90s music up to heavy rock (in moderation).
I enjoy latin music like salsa or rancheras. I also like the type of music like the one Michael Bolton, Michael Buble, Lionel Richie Michael Jackson, Earth Wind and Fire, Bob Dylan, Louis Armstrong, John Mayer or Kenny Loggins sing.
HAHA long answer really. I'm sure we could have at least 5 singers in common.

Movies:
I enjoy movies that have a message, the ones that teach you something about life, the ones where one cries or laughs, even if i had laugh with horror movies.
My favorite movies are Remember the titans and The ultimate gift.

Books:
My favorite books are The Shack by WM. Paul Young, Death, the final stage of growth by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman, nobel prize in Economy and some others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So many things haha, we just need to start talking about some subject and i will surely have an interesting story to share. Both, the good and bad experiences have taught me something.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you some Spanish, about Mexico's culture and history and break off all those stereotypes about my country.

I could also teach about science, about environmental engineering as well as practical stuff. I am a person that it's interested in many fields of study so i can even tell you about plants, softwares, tanatology and most of all the human aspect.
I enjoy being with people and learn from them, their experiences, advises from my own experience.

I have been through experiences that have shown me the importance of communication and solidarity so im willing to help whoever it's in need or support.
