ABOUT ME

I'm Chinese-American. I was born and raised in Maryland, but I lived in North Carolina for about 8 years before moving to Holland. I'm open-minded and easy-going. I like to travel, meet new people, see new things, try different kinds of food, etc.

I also like puppies, kittens, candlelight dinners, and long walks on the beach...oh wait, this isn't a dating website... ;)

PHILOSOPHY

Eat and keep eating.

The biggest mistake is not trying new things. Did someone say steak?

Treat others as you would like to be treated.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CS is still somewhat new to me. I've surfed a few times now. I hope to get a hosting request soon! As I gain more experience with CS myself, I hope to instill some wisdom in new travelers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hooray! I'm not a CS virgin anymore. I had two fantastic hosts during my recent visit to Paris and two fantastic hosts during my recent visit to Belgium. I'm looking forward to many more positive experiences.

I have two positive references from my hosts. I feel all warm and squishy inside. :)

Interests

I like being outdoors. I especially enjoy the beach and mountains. I'm not very good at it, but I love to snowboard. I also really enjoy archery. I go outdoor and indoor climbing about twice a year, but I'm a horrible climber. I have to get better at surfing at some point and maybe get back into SCUBA.

I love amusement parks and festivals. My friends tell me that they like that I act like a little kid somtimes.

I also enjoy being indoors. Sometimes it's just nice to kick back, read a good book, listen to all genres of music, watch television, or enjoy a good movie.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a lot of the work by Neil Gaiman. One of my favorite musicians is Sia. As for movies, I'm always up for one with superheroes!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I love Amsterdam Airport Schiphol because of the size, shopping and people-watching. Yes, I'm funny like that. I can be dazzled by the simplest and most common things.

Backpacking and camping in the Swedish Lapland is a close second.

I love to share. Sharing is caring. Gotta love the CS philosophy!

I always want to learn new languages.

I can teach you how to use a firearm, but I guess that tends to be more of an American thing.
