Hi! My name is Roland. I'm one of those creative/artist types. I think I have a good sense of humor. People seem to laugh a lot when I talk. I'm a DJ for fun. Mostly Techno and Deep House. I've tried my hand at producing, but I've had to put it on the side for a bit to get my business started. I really enjoy good conversation. Philosophy, politics, movies, anime, art, life experiences...it's all good to me as long as everyone is respectful. I've been into some form of graphic arts since I was little. My style looks like a cross of graffiti and anime or so I'm told. I suppose it makes sense given I was a graffiti artist when I was younger then got really into anime. I also did some photography and makeup art. Something I got into because a couple of girlfriends I was with were models and i took interest in the field.

Lived Honolulu since I was 17 in 93'. Moved to Maui mid May and I absolutely LOVE it here.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because the boat I am going to be living on won't be on the island for at least another month or two and the owners house I am living in are moving back in beginning October 1st. Doesn't make sense to start a new lease. Plus I think this will be a great way to meet some of my island neighbors and maybe make a new friend or two :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Provided we have the space and allowance to play music somewhat loudly, I could show you how to DJ. At least get you started. I have small controller we can use. I could also give you some basics on drawing if that suits you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Not really sure what this is asking for, but besides my winning personality and sense of humor, I will help with any cleaning that needs to be done. I've also been in some type of construction for half my life so if there's anything that needs fixin' and you have the tools and materials I'd definitely be willing to help fix it.
