About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To contribute to make a better world

ABOUT ME

I describe myself as an honest, responsible, real friend, down to earth, family oriented, professional, free of drugs, educated and easy going person. Life is full of choices and I choose to be happy no matter what. Proud to be the person that GOD and DESTINY want me to be. Extremely open minded, confidence and ready to share my good and bad experiences with the rest of the world.

PHILOSOPHY

"Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained"

True personal and professional growth comes at a price. We really have to risk something and take a chance in order to potentially reap the reward of getting or achieving something better. Therefore let's be a little bolder and break the shackles of routine and conventionality by doing, trying or attempting something new or different in our lives.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I will available my couch will be open to whoever need it. Gender doesn't matter to me. I can host up to 2 people, as long they are clean, respectful and communicative.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I heard about Couch Surfing in August 2011, this idea caught my attention since I did something similar by my own in the past. While I was living in Panama, I met some people over the internet and they visited me, also I went to Colombia, Denver and Madrid and met amazing people in my journey. Definitely I'm planing on being more involved in the CS project from Miami.

Teach, Learn, Share

Born and raised in Panama City, Panama as a normal able-body person. At age 17, I was involved in an accident that injured my spinal cord. Since then I learned to be an happy disabled human being. I use a wheelchair for my daily basis activities, I consider myself 99.99% an independent person.

Being a person with disabilities in Latin America, it was not an easy task. I became a fighter and learned to face many obstacles in my life. With a huge determination and a strong support from family and friends, I discovered that life was not over for me, instead might be able to achieve my goals, dreams and desire in life.

After too many years, my home town became an easy cake. I say this humbly, I finished my university degree, I joined a great company and I was able to get back on track with my life and enjoy a decent life.

In June 2001, I started what I described as my best experience ever. Through my work I had the opportunity to apply for a relocation in NYC. Without hesitation and do not listen the naysayers, I took the determination to leave my comfort zone and start my journey overseas by my own.

Three years in NYC, three years in Buffalo and currently six years in sunny Miami Florida, have been teaching me how wonderful life it is, and how we could beat adversity, against all odds.
