CURRENT MISSION

Saving up some money before moving to Brighton, UK, in march 2016.

ABOUT ME

I enjoy having people around most of the time. I'm used to living in shared apartments (actually, I've never lived alone)

I'm an artist, or at least an aspiring one.
During art school I did prints, sculptures and photography as well as painting and drawing, although recently it's been mostly oil painting.

although most paintings represented there are 5-10 years old by now.

I used to run an art gallery/vegan café in Gothenburg, Sweden, but closed it down in 2012.
Currently, I mostly DJ and arrange clubs and every sunday I host a pub quiz at Kelly's, my favourite pub. Also, jan-feb each year I work for The Gothenburg International Film Festival.

In my spare time, I spend time with my girlfriend Elin and our friends and sometimes host parties and/or go out to clubs during the weekends. (or whenever)
I'm a vegan and love to cook. Specialities include sushi and pizza.

I would like to travel a lot more, but rarely have the money. :/

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started hosting in Gothenburg in 2005/2006 and continued doing so when I moved to Berlin. Since then I've lived in Lund and Malmö a while before returning to Gothenburg where I'm currently staying with a friend in a 3 room apartment.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Haven´t surfed much myself (only once in Berlin and once in Warsaw) but have hosted quite a few. It helps you appreciate your home town more when you see it through the eyes of a tourist.

I like movies that set some kind of mood, be it a futuristic science fiction thing or perhaps a psychological one. Some examples: A Clockwork Orange, Natural Born Killers, Girl: Interrupted, Dark City, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, early Tim Burton, V for Vendetta, Pan's Labyrinth, Party Monster and many more.

As for music I am mostly into electronic, gothic, dark wave and synth-ish styles.

Some examples: Ladytron, In Strict Confidence, Pet Shop Boys, New Order, Felix da Housecat, Welle:Erdball, Deine Lakaien, Die Form, Diorama, Massiv in Mensch, Kraftwerk, Alice in Videoland, The Knife, Zeigeist, Beati Mortui and many many others.
I also like The 60s, especially The Kinks, and swing music.

As for litterature, I enjoy The Dice Man by Luke Rhinehart, the norwegian writer Erlend Loe, Lovecraft, Poe, Oscar Wilde and many others. Mostly "classics".
I also read artist biographies, philosophy etc.
