ABOUT ME

About ROLF:
I was born in a wonderful place called Copenhagen, and have been so fortunate as to grow up without war around (but many trees and lakes). I spend much time cooking in my kitchen which I have built with my hands. I love that. Building or cooking it doesn't matter, It's all the same to me. Starting off without a specific plan or recipe, and without expectations can sometimes be a beautiful thing, I find. I've noticed how this notion -sometimes with great success- also can be applied on human relationships.
If I had a television I'd watch it turned off, while listening to random sounds coming from the street where I live, and probably enjoy that very much.
I like to write songs and play them to people that want to listen. I often make friends with cats, and if I see a dog on the street I usually stop to say hi. This also happens with human beings.

About SARA:
I was born on the countryside in Germany, but moved to Norway when I was ten. I have lived in Copenhagen now for five years, and like it very much. I am just finishing my studies to become a Waldorf-kindergarden teacher and it has been a fantastic three years. Now I will see some of the world before looking for a job.
I like to sing - I sing in a Bulgarian folk-music-choir. I also enjoy movement, and meditation. We have a little house where we are planning to plant a vegetable and herb garden. I love horses, but have no oppurtunity to ride at the moment.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We live in a collective of four very nice people. We are four people living together in a 135 m2 flat in Copenhagen. We have a big living room with a (home built) sofa that can be transformed into two nice beds. Whenever somebody is out of the house (that happens a lot) we have a nice room for you as shown on the photo. Me and my girlfriend Sara love to cook vegetarian dishes, and we will always be able to show you around in this flowering part of town (nørrebro is, to Copenhagen, a little like Kreutzberg is to Berlin). We all share the bathroom and kitchen.
