About Me

I'm not the one to describe me

My care is not directed towards what's "hip", but simply towards the things I stumble past which happen to interest me

Kindness is never wasted

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Right now I'm not so active using this site, but I may be again at some point.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Went couch surfing with my sister in Germany some years back in Aachen, Germany. It was great!

Music, Movies, and Books

I looooooove music. And so many different kinds. I'm not good with the genres though .. I heard an interview of that movie guy Quentin Tarantino on the soundtrack from Pulp Fiction. In it he talks of not liking to put himself in a genre box, and I guess I'm like that. Different music has different things to offer. A good melody and a lyrical message that goes beyond "woop wooop, let's party all night" is usually a plus with me, but then again - if in fact at a party that line could very well be perfect.
As for movies, the genre thing is the same .. I like movies across genres. It depends on my mood. Usually I like comedies, if the comedy talks to me.
Books.. Do some academic reading. Apart from that I like to read about spiritual stuff, and other fascinating things from our world or the writer's imagination. Right now I'm exploring the danish poet Benny Andersen a little bit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every day is full of amazing things to be thankful for.
Travels: My stay in Malawi in 2010 still strikes me as maybe the most outstanding - everything was so different from what I'm used to down there. Colourful and lively. Kyrgyzstan was a very fascinating and great place as well.

Not traveling: I have realized that staying true to myself is freedom.

Maybe when I'm a parent or finished my education I'll have a more specific thing to mention.
