CURRENT MISSION

Operation SkiFreak Chapter 2!

Not to sound generic, but I am someone who wants to enjoy as many great experiences before I kick the bucket and end up as worm food.

I had an amazingly successful SkiFreak season last year. Learned to ski. Ski'd Keyhole at Alpine Meadows. Ski'd Slot at Squaw, and crushed Granite Chief Chair on the last powder day of the winter season. Then climbed Mt. Shasta in the spring, reached the summit, the ski'd off that B*tch! ;) Yeah, year 1!

Year two of Operation SkiFreak grows Epic. Literally.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My job contract ends in December. After going home to Arkansas for Christmas/New Year's, I'm going to begin Operation SkiFreak Chapter 2 in Breck, CO in the beginning of January. I'm going to spend a month at Tiger Run RV Resort. I have a 30 ft. 5th wheel trailer. It will be my vessel as I navigate the wintry seas of CO, UT, and S. Lake Tahoe for the 2017-18 ski season. You should be a Vail Epic Pass Holder, so we can shred any of the mountains in the Vail company.

I'll be offering up either my fold out couch (full) or my dinette that converts into a full size bed as well. Your choice. I'm sleeping in my bedroom.

I just ask that we split the RV campground lot fees, food, beer, etc.

Before moving forward and messaging me. You should know that I voted for Trump. The country is divided for the most part, and I doubt we will get along if you blindly "Hate Trump Supporters." I, on the other hand, have friends all over CA, and although we have differing opinions and political views, we get along greatly. We are adults about views. We don't intertwine our politics with our feelings. We remain objective, and we don't get emotional/angry when confronted with differing points of view.

To further blow your mind, I'm first generation Mexican, and I have a Rebel Flag in my living room. I love the South and the values that it instilled in me. Without Arkansas, I would probably have 3-4 baby momma's, have been in and out of jail, and definitely not be skiing. That's what SoCal would have given me had we not left the left! LOL

If you're an adult who likes to have fun shredding, can have an objective/rational discussion without getting butthurt and emotional, I think we will get along like two thieves! After all, the main focus of Operations SkiFreak is to ski as many days as possible, bring as many smiles, and generate as much stoke as possible.

Itinerary follows like this:

a) Breck, CO to ski 4 diff resorts roughly from Jan 8 to Feb 8

b) Park City, UT to ski the largest resort in the States from Feb 10 to March 10

c) S. Lake Tahoe to ski Kirkwood and Heavenly the rest of the winter (March 15 and beyond). Then venture out to do some big BC trips into the Eastern Sierra for the Spring with my Canadian Ski Sensai.

Interests

I currently live in Truckee, CA.
I also love to travel which is good, because my job dictates temporary employment assignments at hospitals all over California.
My travel endeavor for the year is an Epic Ski Trip with the Vail Epic Pass.

Kendrick Lamar's recent CD has been on heavy rotation. I also recently started listening to Country... a habit I picked up going from Yosemite to Vancouver, BC in the RV with my German friend, Klaus. He picked the station!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went on a 5 day trip out to sea for the sole purpose of diving with White Sharks. Isla de Guadalupe, Mexico is a premiere White Shark destination. Ever heard of Deep Blue (Largest White Shark captured on film)? Happened at Isla De Guadalupe. In addition to the amazing experience of going toe to toe with an apex predator, we had on board chefs and bartenders for Apres Dive. Haha! Met some cool folks.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I make great coffee. I use a Chemex all glass coffee pour over. Clean, clean, coffee!

Plus, chances are that I may be better at skiing than you. I could help give you some tips. My qualifications are: ski'd 70 days at the resort last season. Ski'd 15-20 days in the BC too.
