About Me

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Belarusians do not support the ongoing terrible war in Ukraine in any way. According to independent social researches, more than 90% of Belarusians are absolutely against any kind of involvement in the war on Russian side. Currently, thousands of Belarusians are helping Ukraine, by volunteering in or outside the country, donating money etc. Belarusian government is not Belarusian people. We stand with Ukraine and help Ukrainian people to defend their country. Слава Україні! 💙💛

There are two types of feeling at the end of the day which I like the most.

The first one is when weird and unexpected things occur throughout the day and blend into such a perfectly amazing adventure that you feel as if you're in some sort of a movie.

The second one is when so much has happened in one day that your brain struggles to process it all, and you feel as if several days have passed since the morning.

I try to live my life in such a way that I would catch these feelings more often :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet new people and see places I've never seen before, discover new music to listen to and jam with people all over the world, and just generally to have fun and enjoy my time here :)

Interests

I have a lot of musical instruments at home, from irish low whistle to kalimba and different guitars. Can I play all of them? Well... I usually say that I equally bad at everything 🙂 But writing music is actually my biggest passion and my main hobby. I love jamming with people, I love trying out something new, I love going to concerts, local and big alike.

I am also an absolute tea addict, drinking like 15 cups of tea per day. Hide your tea if you are hosting me xD (just kidding, I can control myself)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love discovering new musical gems for my collection and I constantly listen to a very wide variety of genres. Lately I tend to lean heavily towards phychedelic, indie, break/dmb and some weird genre combinations, like ethno-electronica. My playlist is the place where everything is mashed up together. To name a few: Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, RHCP, JJ Grey & Mofro, Wintergatan, Florence + the Machine, Badbadnotgood, Vulfpeck, Beware of Darkness, Dirtwire, Kasabian, FKJ, Arctic Monkeys, Flipsyde, Eminem, Jacob Collier, Caravan Palace and many many more. I also absolutely love Belarusian music and can show you lots of great artists you've never heard of before.

Regarding books, lately I explore Belarusian literature a lot (and find absolutely amazing things!) Among some well-known authors that I really enjoyed reading are Lovecraft, Bulgakov, Stephen King, Terry Pratchett, Joe Abercrombie, George Martin, Tolkien, Stig Larsson, and many others.

Movies are a bit of a weak spot, as I still haven't seen many of the "must-see classics" but I'm working on it :) Some of the films I enjoyed the most: In Bruges; The Guard; Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri; Lord of the Rings movies; The Hobbit (only the 1st part); Snatch; Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels; movies by Tarantino; movies by Edgar Wright; Shutter Island and others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Played guitar underwater.
