About Me

Hi, I'm Roman, a traveler and a software developer from Ukraine. I have visited many countries and also lived in Bangkok, Thailand for 1.5 years.

I like to have cultural exchange in my trips either with other travelers or with local people, but I have never used couch surfing to meet with people before, so I decided to give it a try!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to have cultural exchange with other people when I'm traveling or as a local guide in my home city.

While I cannot host anyone currently I'd like to show around my city, Zaporizhia, to foreigners coming here as as I imagine it can get quite challenging to explore this area if you don't speak Russian or Ukrainian. I am convinced it'll be huge fun also.

So if you are interested ping me and we can meet somewhere in the city and explore it hitting the most interesting places in Zaporizhzhia.

Music, Movies, and Books

I adore listening to some jazz music live, aside from that I tend to listen to some rock music and good quality instrumental pop. But generally I'm open to all kinds of music if a particular piece happens to resonate with my soul :)

I like to watch sci-fi movies, dystopian movies and movies about survival in harsh environment. Also I like British comedy movies and full length Japanese anime titles (Makoto Shinkai is my favorite director).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I learnt how to drive a motorbike in Asia (well kind of...), isn't this amazing?

Teach, Learn, Share

If you are interested in some Russian I can surely teach you along the way.

I am learning Japanese currently, so if you speak any it would great opportunity to learn some for me :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Adventure stories and cultural experience are the best thing to share between each other. I'm always interested in learning local culture or having a nice conversation.

Countries I’ve Visited
