Hi! My name is Roman, I’m 42 years old but I feel much younger than my age. I was born in Ukraine, but since 2015 I’ve been living in Košice, Slovakia.

For the last 18 years I worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer in IT, and recently I switched to a Business Analyst role. Change keeps life interesting!

I’m on Couchsurfing because I want to meet new people and maybe find new friends. The world is huge and full of stories — why stay only within your city and circle when there’s so much unknown out there? I love listening to other people’s stories and sharing mine, and although I’m naturally an introvert, I’m excited to extend my limits and connect with more people.

I live by a lifestyle that says no matter who you are, what you do, or how old you are, there are no limits — you can be whoever you want to be and do whatever you want to do.

I deeply value and embrace cultural diversity: different clothes, haircuts, tattoos, piercings, beliefs — all the ways people express themselves. I respect and accept others for who they truly are and I especially like open-minded people who share this outlook.

When I travel, I like to find unique, unusual places and hidden gems that show the authentic side of a destination.

- Fluent in Ukrainian and Russian
- Very good English (use it daily at work, still improving)
- Average Slovak (rarely use it in daily activities)
