About Me

CURRENT MISSION

as of this moment, to finally get settled in Seattle

ABOUT ME

I'm a dreamer, a do-er, a wanderer, writer and idealist. Liberal in my ways and am always up for a discussion and debate about everything and nothing.

I like being caffeinated at all times and want to explore as much of this world as possible in the short amount of time allotted to us.

I thrive on spontenaiety and the never knowing of whats just around the corner.

i'm also a huge fan of the ideals and lifestyles of the beatnik generation.

PHILOSOPHY

“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.” - Robert Frost.

"At the top of the mountain we are all snow leopards" - Hunter S. Thompson

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i'm brand new to the couch surfing game but once i get settled in somewhere, there'll always be a couch ready and waiting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

as i've said. i'm brand new to this, i found out about this site from friends who've tried it and figured, what the hell, why not?

Interests

as of right now? i'm pretty interested in figuring out the public transit around Seattle.

Volunteer work, activism, philosophy. learning as much as humanly possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

oh man. i may go a little more in-depth than need be.

Music: I grew up with jazz, classical and rock. So everything from Dizzy Gillespie to Simon and Garfunkel and Jeff Buckley.
Music has my heart and soul so to love something that deeply i think you have to be open-minded about all it encapsules. I love everything - indie-rock, hard rock, brit pop, r&b and hip hop, to americana and freak-folk.
Some of my favorites include, but are not limited to: Elliott Smith, Radiohead, Dizzy Gillespie, Ella Fitzgerald, Iron and Wine, Tom Waits, Sigur Ros, Built to Spill, Dinosaur Jr, Lou Barlow, The National...etc etc etc.

Even though T.V. isn't specified i figure id throw that in too. I'm not a big, glue yourself to the screen kind of t.v. watcher but i do love National Geographic and Discovery channels and lately I can't get enough of all the Political banter.
the greatest gift anyone could ever give me would be the complete Twilight Zone series on dvd and lately i've been watching a lot of European comedy series.

Movies.
I'm always up for a 'so bad it's good' b-movie and classic cult hits. I have an uncontrollable love for old silent and not so silent black and whites from the 20's and beyond.
Some of my favorites include: High Fidelity, basically anything by Wes Anderson, Casablanca, Bringing Up Baby, Diving Bell and the Butterfly, Arsenic and Old Lace, Amelie, The Princess Bride...etc.

and seriously, I'm always buried in one book or another.
Nausea, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, House of Leaves, Atlas Shrugged, Anthem, 1984, Syrup, Either/Or, Ferdinand the Bull, Lolita and many more.
I'm currently working on reading Hunger by Knut Hamson

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Personally, i'm still going after all my dreams. And as of right now that's pretty damn swell if you ask me.
